Instagram has never been all about taking pictures, uploading them and waiting for your friends to like them and comment. The potential of this platform has always been more and thus it proved itself when people started using it for making quick bucks.
I am a selfie freak and like capturing pictures for my Instagram page. I capture pictures for myself as well as since I am a blogger, I like using more expressive pictures for all my blogs.
Usage of a phone for taking Instagram pictures is a bad idea. Phone pictures are good when you have to post randomly but not for your blog. Therefore, I would like to propose some things that are significant to consider while you are capturing Instagram pictures. First small tip to consider is that your pictures have to be highly related to the content. Well, this is obvious because you cannot put forward a picture of a kitten sleeping in a beauty blog.
Environment-
I think we all will agree on this that lighting is the most significant part of any kind of photography. Regardless of the product type, the lighting has to coexist in every picture for great shots.
When we speak of the lighting, do you think there is any better outlet than the natural light? I personally like and recommend people to take pictures in natural light. This can really enhance the quality of pictures, leaving it for minimal edits. By the time the clock strikes 12, the light becomes too harsh. This is not the ideal time to take pictures. I would say that evening hours are great for good pictures.
So guys, be very careful about the work environment. As far as the end result is concerned, it certainly depends on the time of photo shoot and weather conditions as well. If you are shooting in a cloudy day, you cannot expect the pictures to be brighter.
For indoor shoot, it is best to locate a spot where the natural lighting is best and go ahead with the picture clicking.
How About Reflector?
The placement of reflector is crucial and if you don’t know much about it or how to use it then I will suggest to not to go for a reflector. Again, the lighting in the room very much coordinates in making reflectors do its job perfectly. Wherever your light source is, its best to keep the reflector right across it.
It is significant for you to understand the right angles and how to play with them while placing the reflector. While you are moving the reflector from one angle to another, it is important to fix a point where light is evenly distributed on the subject.
The Edits-
Never be afraid of the edits that you might have to do after you are done with the photo shoot. There is hardly any photographer who is 100% satisfied with the natural clicks. And all thanks to the variant editing techniques that are making a huge difference to the photography industry, it is best to give your images a nice effect.
Instagram images are crucial and they should be treated with same significance. I hope these simple tips will help you in some way.
